About this Event
Join the Roots Team’s best bartenders on a zero-waste cocktail journey and learn how to prepare perfectly balanced libations using upcycled ingredients.
The team will take you through the basics of cocktail mixing–from the correct application of the tools of the trade to standard recipe ratios–and the fundamentals of upcycling and zero-waste techniques. Then you will learn how to apply these techniques in your home bar, focusing on the three most important standards of the cocktail world: alcohol, citrus, and sugar. During the workshop you will be guided step by step through each process, developing a hands-on understanding that you can bring back to your own kitchen!
And then you will have the opportunity to put that new found knowledge to the test and use the upcycled ingredients to create your own zero-waste cocktail. Tools, spirits, and mixing agents will all be provided; All we ask is that you come ready to learn and have a great time!
