Please bring your own yoga mat. Eye shades, pillows and blankets are recommended for the sound bath part of the event.
Since 2003, Adriana Martins has been working with patients to bring awareness of the body and its energy (Ki) through the power of touch! Shiatsu helps in conditions where emotional disturbances or stress are an underlying factor, for instance, insomnia, anxiety, depression, muscular tension, headaches, digestive disturbances, menstrual dysfunction, low resistance to infection, disorders of the muscle-skeletal system, and poor circulation. Adriana is graduated from the Academy of Oriental Medicine in Austin, Texas in 2003, majoring in Zen Shiatsu Asian Bodywork Therapy. Ever since, she has been a Certified Practitioner and a professional member of the American Organization for Bodywork Therapies of Asia - AOBTA.
Fabiana has offered sound therapy sessions in individual and group settings, as well as collaborative events with other professionals in the holistic field, she offers a range of therapeutic modalities like yoga, dance, sound therapy, mindfulness and energy work and aim to make these practices more accessible to all. Sound baths bring a grounding experience in which one practices awareness on breathing while listening to different types of instruments. Sound healing is known to deepen relaxation, decrease stress and anxiety, improve mood and well-being, improve sleep and enhance focus and energy. Fabiana is certified in Trauma Informed Yoga by Waking Yoga, Yoga Nidra by Black Swan Yoga and also certified as a somatic sound practitioner by the Mind Body Music Center in Austin, Texas.
