Relax and restore in the tranquil setting of a traditional Zen monastery nestled at the edge of New England woodlands.

This active yet gently challenging retreat invites you to slow down and turn inward through a nourishing blend of silent meditation, mindful movement, and meaningful opportunities for social connection and sharing. We’ll spend the morning practicing breathwork and mindful movement at PZC’s retreat center on the hill. After a healthful vegetarian lunch, we’ll head outdoors for hiking and forest bathing on nearby trails. The day will end with a healing sound bath and group reflection.
This is technology-free, digital detox retreat. Wear neutral, comfortable clothing appropriate for sitting meditation and walking outdoors - bug protection is recommended. Chairs are available as an alternative to sitting on the floor for meditation. A brief introduction to the Kwan Um School of Zen practice will be provided for those who are interested in starting a regular meditation practice after the retreat.
Retreat Fees:
- $80 for non-members; optional overnight stays available
- Pay $20 deposit now to reserve your seat; balance is due 3 days before retreat date
