About this Event
Beginnng with the inspiration of Marguerite Samama, CZT16, from the Netherlands, we'll create two beautiful works of art using the Reticula and Fragments theory created by Zentangle founders Maria Thomas and Rick Roberts.
Marguerite says, "I have lived in Florence, Italy, for a while and have admired many paintings and frescoes from the Renaissance there. The result of my tangling reminded me of the lush buttons on embroidered robes and cloaks…hence the name zenbutton."
Reticula and Fragments celebrate the interplay of grids and meta patterns that emerge when adjacent or nearly touching elements combine. This theory also helps develop your skills as a tangler when you rotate, mirror or discover new ways to combine fragments into tangles and tangles into your original works of art.
