Sunday June 23rd from 2-4 PM. In this two-hour seminar, Buddhist priest, mindfulness teacher, and musician, Mike Travisano, will offer practical strategies and techniques to build confidence, support well-being, and develop the ability to perform—and feel—wonderfully.
Presented interactively, this event will explore:
- Understanding anxiety, issues of self-confidence, and stage fright
- Mindful strategies for preparation, practice, and performance
- Practices for strengthening focus and concentration
- Techniques for taming unhelpful emotions (before, during, and after a performance)
About Mike:
A practitioner of mindfulness for over thirty years, Mike Travisano is an ordained Buddhist priest (Oshō) and the founder of The Art of Monday Morning LLC, providing mindfulness instruction, coaching, and counseling to individuals and organizations. Additionally, Mike works as a Contemplative Practitioner for Charlie Health, a virtual Intensive Outpatient Program for adolescents and young adults. As a musician, Mike studied guitar performance at Berklee College of Music in the early-1990s, and released two albums of solo piano music in the 2010s. Mike has performed in various capacities both locally and abroad, most notably as part of a 2015 summer concert series in the ancient Teatro Marcello in Rome.
