Zeastripped to the bone. It's almost naked. A voice, a clarinet, a cello, some drums and a guitar. Hardly an arsenal, yet enough to spark poetic battles. Zea draws from his mother tongue, Frisian—the language of the android—guttural poems about the promises of the body, about the time it takes to reach others despite the rain, about life's urgency that makes us forget ts limits. The language is sawn apart with a jigsaw, mouth full of stones, simple riffs hammered tightly on the guitar.
Elevated to the level of a chosen elegy, thanks to the modest and precise playing of Xavier Charles, former companion of The Ex and a clarinetist whose humanism is beyond dispute. And so the band moves forward, at eye level with humanity, steeped in stubbornness and grit, in textures that evoke medieval miniature painters. A small fraternal theater.
Guillaume Maupin
is a French singer, guitarist, and wanderer of melodies who moves with ease between folk ballads, punk energy, and songs whose origins have been softened by time. Onstage, he offers music like a quiet conversation: intimate, generous, and full of surprises. His warm, unhurried voice invites listeners into a world where stories drift between languages, and where each tune feels discovered rather than performed. He reshapes familiar songs with subtle twists, revives forgotten ones with tenderness, and lets new ones emerge as if they’d always been there. In his hands, the simple act of singing becomes an invitation—to listen, to remember, and to linger a little longer.
