Mahmoud Mokhtar was an Egyptian sculptor. He is considered the father of modern Egyptian sculpture. He played in an important role in the Egyptian art movement.
The island of Zamalek has a unique beauty & rich history.
Join us on this special walk where we discover Mahmoud Mukhtar museum, the general history of Zamalek, discover some of its important landmarks and enjoy exploring the crafts and art scene in some of its famous galleries.

Program of the day:
- Meet at Mahmoud Mokhtar museum
- Enjoy an informative guided tour of the museum that uncover the stories & history of Mokhtar
- Stop for a break in a charming cafe restaurant where you can enjoy a drink or something light to eat
- End your day tour with a light walk in Zamalek that uncovers the historical background of Zamalek island and some interesting landmarks
(Depending on the situation on tour date and time available, we might enter couple of craft shops or galleries - Not guranteed )
- Last stop in the day will be to Aisha Fahmy to visit the temporary exhibtion of "Mahmoud Said" (One of the pioneers of the art scene in Egypt) (The art exhibition is temporary only in Aisha Fahmy until 15 Oct)
Please note:
- Kindly note that the distance between Mokhtar museum to the residential part of Zamalek is 2 Km approximately.
From the museum, you will move with a taxi or Uber on your expenses.
- From the 2nd starting point, we will enjoy a walk of 2~3 KM approximately.

- A minimum number is needed for the tour to take place. We reserve the right to cancel the tour anytime if it doesn't reach the minimum number needed. In that case, guests will be advised by email and refund will take place.
- Meeting point & the exact drop pin and starting time, contacts… will be communicated by email 1 day prior to tour date. Kindly make sure you check your email (including Junk folder) 1 day before the tour date.
