ZJB's writing influences are artists like Bruce Springsteen, Townes Van Zandt, Leonard Cohen, and Tom Waits, traditional Celtic and American folk music, as well as myth and fairy tale, resulting in stories that dip deep into the psychic well and dredge up contents at the bottom like dreams.
