About this Event
The Yusephinum Project is a multimedia installation that tells the origin story of a protagonist named Nym, who awakens to find himself within a bizarre new dimension. This exhibit is a full sensory experience with ten large illustrations set on lightboxes throughout the gallery space, depicting Nym’s first steps into the Yusephinum. The hallmark feature of our installation is the marriage of photography and illustration to create a sense of heightened reality that is so common in video games. This, paired with intricate lighting and music, will make you feel almost as if you yourself are walking through a video game level set in this strange and ethereal world.
This installation also serves as the launch of our collective, Yusephinum LLC! We are a group made up of queer BIPOC artists with a proclivity for video and music production, video game scenario writing, and photography. Join us on this special week as we bring the world of Yusephinum into our dimension!
Select illustrations will be sold during the event, and available for pick-up at the end of the day on Closing.
