Canberra Spinners and Weaver is pleased to partner with Tuggeranong Arts Centre to offer this free meditative weaving course. No charge to attend but registration is required.Join artists Rechelle Turner and Tahalianna Soward-Mahanga for a weaving and music event at Canberra Textile Works in the Chifley Health and Wellbeing Hub.
Designed to introduce the community to the joyful meditative practice of slow-stitched coiled weaving, this free event is open to everyone.
Come along and learn step by step, basic weaving and coil weaving techniques while enjoying wonderful music by Tahalianna Soward-Mahanga. Using raffia, Rechelle will help you to master: making a center, and growing and shaping your own coiled piece.
