In ancient Norse, he was Jólfaðr literally translating to "Yule Father", which is actually another name for Odin. He would visit during the Winter Solstice along with the Yule Goat bringing gifts and granting wishes to get us through the darkest period of the year.Alongside the Yule Father will be La Befana! She is a magical entity with origins in Italy. Traditionally, she appeared Epiphany Eve bearing gifts for good children and punishing the bad. Over time her lore evolved and she is sometimes known as "The Christmas Witch".
