Though we have many cold and dreary days ahead, Yule is the season to sing back the Sun. At the mark of the Winter Solstice, the longest and darkest day of the year, He will shine a bit brighter and longer everyday henceforth , allowing Mama Earth to blossom and bloom in Her time. The Sun is Mama Earth’s lover, and what a beautiful partnership they make. Let us celebrate the pair.Join in in a deep reverential ceremony celebrating the Pagan Wheel of the year. These nature-based celebrations. mark an important passage of all the seasons from the planting of the seed, the welcoming of the sun, harvesting all that we sowed, and the void/impermanence that follows. When we teach ourselves to become attuned to the turning of the seasons we can connect more deeply to Mother Earth as the Divine Feminine, and to Father Sun as the Divine Masculine, too.
Here, we will offer you a chance to experience and participate in community spellwork in a loving and protective environment. We encourage you to be formal, feel free to dress up, adorning yourself to fully honor the divine and offer your deepest reverence.
During this gathering we will:
-Have discussion conversation regarding the energy of the season
-Circle cast, get support from the four directions
-Get creative and crafty… and then use that craft in our community ritual!
-Offer a gift of gratitude to the Divine Feminine & Divine Masculine (*please see note below)
-Build the Pagan Wheel Altar (**please see note below)
-Perform an elaborate ritual and ceremony
*Please bring an offering item from nature as a gift to the Divine Masculine & Feminine! *This item is separate from the altar item.
**Please bring an altar item to represent the energy you are leaning into for the coming season. You are welcome to take the altar item home when we dismantle the altar at the end of the night, end of the season, or you can leave your item as a gift for the temple.
