Save the date for our Yule Book Flood celebration on Saturday December 13th! The Yule Book Flood, or Jólabókaflóð, is an Icelandic phenomenon where books are such a universally beloved gift that a "flood" of books are released near the holidays for Christmas gifting. Icelanders exchange their gifts of books on Christmas Eve and then get cozy reading them, often while enjoying hot chocolate!In the spirit of this lovely tradition, we'll have plenty of books to browse, complimentary hot cocoa with marshmallows, gift wrapping, and a holiday giving tree with the option to purchase a book for Bernie's Book Bank, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing books to children who need them most.
