The Yukon Quest Alaska 2025 Races will be starting at the Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitor's Center on Saturday, February 1st, 2025. Don't miss seeing off the mushers competing in this year's races as they head out on an epic journey through the arctic wilderness. The 550-mile race begins at 11:00 AM. Mushers will be leaving in 3-minute increments followed directly by the 200-mile mushers, also in 3-minute increments. After seeing off the long-distance mushers, go get something warm to eat, support our local businesses, and then come back for the start of the YQA 80-Mile Fun Run at 3:00 PM and cheer on these aspiring future long-distance mushers.Dress warm, grab your camera, and get ready to hear a cacophony of happy eager dogs exclaiming their excitement! Also, Good Cannabis will have a free coffee, tea, and hot cocoa bar for all volunteers and spectators from 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM on race day!
