About this Event
On November 13, in recognition of Lung Cancer Awareness Month, please join Blue Zones Project Yuba-Sutter, in partnership with the Yuba County Tobacco Coalition (CHAT – Community Health Action Team) for a Community Forum to “Air Out The Truth” about commercial tobacco use and the impacts of nicotine on well-being.
CHAT has been engaging with students, parents, and community members to provide education on the prevalence of tobacco use among young people, and the truth is, it’s in our schools and it’s in our homes.
The “Air Out The Truth”, Yuba County Community Tobacco Forum will showcase creative pieces from Yuba County high schools depicting nicotine versus well-being, highlight new evidence on the toxicity of vaping, and provide community members with a set of tools that can be used for changing the culture around commercial tobacco-use.
A light dinner will be provided.
