About this Event
-Entry fee: $10.00, due at the time of registration.
-You MUST have a Konami Card Game ID (KCGID) to participate. If this is your first time playing in a Yu-Gi-Oh tournament at our store, please bring your KCGID card/number with you. If you don't have one, you must register for one on the My Konami website or the Yu-Gi-Oh Neuron app PRIOR to enrolling in the tournament. Please also familiarize yourself with tournament rules and policy before coming to the store.
-The tournament is Speed Duel Constructed* with a number of rounds of Swiss based on attendance (4-8 players = 3 rounds, 9-16 players = 4 rounds, 17+ players = 5 rounds). Rounds are 40-minute timed best-of-three-game matches.
-Round 1 begins at 3:30pm.
-Each player will receive 2 Speed Duel OTS packs just for participating in the tournament. Additional prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the tournament as follows:
- Speed Duel OTS prize pack per match win
- Top 4 players will each get a Speed Duel Trials of the Pharaoh promotional pin.
- Top 4 players will each get a Speed Duel promotional foil card - Elemental HERO Sparkman.
- Top 2 players will each get a Speed Duel Trials of the Pharaoh promotional sling bag.
-We're also running a Seasonal Tournament Leaderboard which uses the results of each tournament to determine and award special prizes to the top finishing players at the end of each season. For more information, check out our Google Spreadsheet.
*Speed Duel Constructed Rules
- Only official cards printed with the Speed Duel watermark are legal for play.
- Each player begins the Duel with 4000 LP and 4 cards in their starting hand.
- Each player has 3 Main Monster Zones, 3 Spell/Trap Zones, and 1 Field Zone; there are no Extra Monster Zones.
- There is no Main Phase 2.
- The Main Deck size is 20 to 30 cards, the Extra Deck size is up to 6 cards, and the Side Deck size is up to 6 cards.
- Each player can use up to 1 Skill Card.
- You may put Extra Deck cards and Skill Cards in your Side Deck but it must always have the same number of cards you started with whenever you begin a new game.
- Similar to regular Yu-Gi-Oh, the player going first skips their first Normal Draw of the game, the hand size limit for both players is 6 cards, and deck construction allows for up to 3 cards with the same name across the Main, Extra, and Side Decks, aside from Limited Cards.
- The following Limited Lists are in effect:
Limited 1: Only 1 of the following cards out of all the cards that are “Limited 1” can be used in your Deck & Side Deck.

Limited 2: Only 2 of the following cards out of all the cards that are “Limited 2” can be used in your Deck & Side Deck.

- Union Hanger
Limited 3: Only 3 of the following cards out of all the cards that are “Limited 3” can be used in your Deck & Side Deck.
