YSU’s Dana School of Music is pleased to present the YSU Flute Festival on Saturday, April 12, 2025, in Bliss Hall. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with the event running from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public, and registration is required. The festival features Guest Artist Ann Harrow, Associate Professor of Flute and Piccolo at the Eastman School of Music, alongside YSU Faculty member Stephanie Carter Dennis. Attendees can participate in a masterclass, recital, and workshops, including an Alexander Technique session with Professor Emily Sapa. The event concludes with a Flute Choir Concert.
High school flutists in grades 9-12 are invited to join the High School Honors Flute Choir, performing an advanced flute ensemble piece alongside Dana School of Music flutists. Interested students will receive additional details via email.
