"Dogma" (World Premiere Cannes Film Festival) is a comedy, part of Kevin Smith's "View Askewniverse" series, that satirizes religious dogma. It follows two fallen angels, Bartleby (Ben Affleck) and Loki (Matt Damon), who discover a loophole in Catholic doctrine and plot to return to Heaven by exploiting it, which would disprove God and undo creation. Bethany (Linda Fiorentino), an abortion clinic worker, is tasked by the angel Metatron (Alan Rickman) to stop them, alongside a group of unlikely allies. This outstanding cast also features Salma Hayak, Chirs Rock, Jason Lee, Jason Mewes, Kevin Smith and George Carlin.
