After breif hiatus over the summer months, book club is BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER! We will be discussing 'Inclusive Transportation: A Manifesto for Repairing Divided Communities' by Veronica O. Davis.
In this powerful call to action, Davis - an acclaimed transportation planner and community advocate - lays out a framework for rethinking how we design, plan, and invest in our neighborhoods. She examines how infrastructure has too often been used to divide and harm communities, particularly communities of color, and offers strategies for repairing those fractures through equity-driven planning, collaboration, and care.
Our book club will be a space to reflect on the challenges Davis highlights, share personal insights, and consider how her ideas can shape the future of our own communities.
