What is a Death Cafe?A Death Cafe is a social franchise. Hosts/facilitators sign up and follow principles and guidelines while using the name Death Cafe.
Our objective is 'to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives'. A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session.
The evening is a lot like any other group discussion you've been to, except we talk about DEATH and all things death related. Conversations are free flowing and the evening doesn't have a set agenda. These conversations evolve naturally and everyone is welcome to contribute, however, staying quiet and observing your first time is OK too!
We provide the coffee, water, and light snacks -- you just show up!

Due to the charm and history of Bloodroot Herb Shop, all guests will have to take a flight of stairs down to the event. Please let us know if accommodations need to be made.
