A very limited opportunity!
Thanks to the Ministry of Justice Family Court Navigators, we will have access to a Family Court room for the day.
In the morning session, through a mock court, witness a Formal Proof Hearing to see someone be cross examined and then be immersed in a Directions Conference in relation to a Parenting Order.
Find out information from the grass roots up - where people sit, what happens in court, what people wear, how to address a Judge etc.
The afternoon session is the opportunity to hear from a Youth Court Case Manager a Lawyer for Child, then a Senior Practitioner from Oranga Tamariki.
