#YouthCulture Drugs Uncovered: What Parents Need to Know is an interactive program and exhibit that targets parents of upper elementary, middle school and high school students. This program is intended for educators, health professionals, parents, other non-profit organizations, and any one else who serves youth in their personal or professional lives.
Drugs Uncovered introduces parents to the current trends regarding alcohol, tobacco and other drugs; health risks associated with adolescent use/abuse; the North Carolina alcohol laws and parental responsibility; and techniques for open communication and dialog with adolescents.

There will be snacks, door prizes and the ability to accrue North Carolina Addictions Specialist Professional Practice Board (NCASPPB) Certified Prevention Specialist hours. This program is presented at no charge to attendees.
