About this Event
After the huge success in Australia, the Youth Wellness & Positive Education Full Day Teachers Workshop is coming to Bangkok.
Have you ever felt challenged by how to improve the wellbeing and happiness of your students in your classroom and across the whole school community? Not only that but actually where to start and how to make it happen? Or do you feel you have a good wellbeing program in place, but you want to take it to the next level?
The great news? You are not alone.
The even better news? Energetic Education and Growing With Gratitude have cracked the code to positive education. They have discovered a formula that works, and this is what you’ll learn:
- Happiness, it's causes and consequences
- Emotional literacy activities and ideas to use at home and in school
- Emotional regulation/reframing skills
- Building Mental Health & wellbeing in children in the curriculum
- Embedding Positive Education into the whole school
- Developing the whole student: How to use character strengths to improve engagement, performance and satisfaction
- A practical guide to teaching relationships
Research tells us learners learn better when they are in a happy/positive frame of mind. Fredrickson and Banigan (2005) discovered positive emotions increased attention, whereas negation emotions reduced thought processes. These findings reveal the importance of a positive mood when it comes to creativity, problem-solving, engagement and actions.
This research is also supported by Seligman, Ernst, Gillham, Reivich and Linkins (2009) who revealed positive emotions benefit classroom learning, and positive emotions can be taught and learned.
This was recently said about Energetic Education - “Spending half a day with Dale is akin to the feeling you get an extra pump of chocolate sauce on your sundae. The most positively infectious person I’ve ever met. He didn’t stop smiling for 4 hours straight whilst being challenging at the same time”.
Laynton Allen – Managing Director, KidsCo Australia
Also recently this was said about Growing With Gratitude - “The Growing With Gratitude Program empowers primary-school aged children with valuable tools and skills to help them lead healthy, successful and productive lives. This contributes to the Education Department’s Wellbeing for Learning and Life Framework, which supports students to be more resilient and engage in positive experiences, form stronger friendships, be more optimistic and show increased self-esteem.”
John Gardner Minister for Education, South Australia
