Enjoy a special day of music and visual art at The MAX.From 9:30 am-10:30 am, families are invited to explore and enjoy a hands-on Instrument Zoo with a variety of instruments provided by the Meridian Symphony Association.
At 10:30 am, the Mississippi Youth Symphony Orchestra will begin a series of performances by their ensembles, including their preparatory string ensemble, woodwind ensemble, brass ensemble, Amadeus string ensemble, and finally, a performance by the full MYSO Scherzo Orchestra.
After the performance, area students will have the opportunity to explore membership and training with the Mississippi Youth Symphony Orchestra and Meridian Symphony Association.
The Meridian Museum of Art will be on-site to offer free hands-on creative activities for participating students.
Guests will enjoy a reduced admission fee of $5. As always, educational faculty and staff receive free admission with a valid ID.
