Overview: Rhythm & Strings Collective – Informational Meeting
Join Musical Expressions Experience for an in-person informational meeting for the Rhythm & Strings Collective, a youth strings program celebrating Black classical musicianship and empowering K–12 students through violin, viola, cello, and bass.
This session is designed for parents and youth who are interested in enrolling in the program. Attendees will:
- Learn about enrollment & audition requirements
- See the class schedule (twice weekly rehearsals)
- Explore performance and showcase opportunities in community events and recitals
- Understand tuition, instrument access, and rental options
- Hear about student expectations, program culture, and values
- Meet instructors, ask questions, and tour the facility
The Rhythm & Strings Collective offers:
- Classical technique instruction and Black cultural repertoire
- Ensemble playing to build teamwork and musical collaboration
- Music theory, ear training, and sight-reading skills
- Skill and character development: confidence, focus, and artistic growth
