Since 1992, the Mansfield Symphony Youth Strings (MSYS) has nurtured young musicians, offering them additional instruction and ensemble experience. Comprising approximately 50 students in grades 6 through 10, the program fosters collaboration, technical skill, and a passion for music.Under the direction of Alora Eyerly, MSYS performs a dynamic blend of classical and contemporary works, engaging audiences both at the Renaissance Theatre and throughout the community. This program is part of the Mansfield Symphony’s education initiative, enriching the cultural landscape of North Central Ohio while providing students with invaluable opportunities for musical and personal growth.
Alora Eyerly, a Mansfield native and accomplished violinist, brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the program. With a background in violin, piano, and extensive ensemble performance, she is committed to inspiring the next generation of musicians.
