If you're new to our youth group, we designate about 30 minutes at the beginning of each youth night for all the kids to come together and share a meal. Jesus, many times throughout the Gospels, shared a meal with His apostles before teaching them valuable lessons. We believe that the community and bonding of a shared meal is often lost for today's youth through busy lives, crazy schedules, and especially screens!! Having a meal at the beginning of each youth nigh allows our teens to step away from all of that and step into being present for the evening, because sharing a meal together is better than any ice breaker!
