Singer-songwriter Tia Kofi is one of the hottest LGBTQ+ artists currently rising from the UK and will be performing for her fans in London’s MOTH Club on Tuesday 28th March.

Give a Gig Week brings together artists fans and local communities across the country raising crucial funds for grassroots music projects. Fans can get involved by purchasing tickets to a headline show whilst musicians can put on a local gig.

Youth Music is the UK’s leading young people’s music charity aiming to create a world where every young person can make learn and earn in music whatever their background or goal.

Matt Griffiths CEO of Youth Music says: “This is a week for music fans and artists alike to show their support for grassroots music. Every ticket sold will help more young people who are facing barriers to access music giving them a chance to make learn and earn in the industry.

“We’re delighted to have Jordan Stephens Tia Kofi Hamzaa and Majestic headlining with exclusive shows. Like us they believe in creating a future for the music industry that is more diverse more inclusive and more creative.

“We hope their support will inspire musicians nationwide to Give a Gig this year raising vital funds for grassroots music projects.”

Jordan Stephens who developed his talent at Audio Active in Brighton one of 500 grassroots music projects backed by Youth Music said: “I started with Youth Music. They gave me an opportunity. That’s all a young person needs. I will support them forever.” The creative musician writer and performer also supported the charity as a judge for the Youth Music Awards last year.

Talking ahead of her performance at East London’s MOTH Club Tia Kofi said: “Growing up there was never anyone who looked like me in the industry. Youth Music’s mission of equalising access to the music industry regardless of a person’s background is something very close to my heart. I’m happy to be supporting them and showing everyone that they too can make their break into the music industry.”

Headline artists will also provide a platform for emerging talent with support acts selected from the Youth Music community. EVA a 19-year-old singer-songwriter who was nominated for the Original Track Award (Solo) at last year’s Youth Music Awards will be taking to the stage along with Jasmine Rowland a member of Youth Music affiliated project Reform Radio CIC.

Tickets for Hamzaa’s Jordan’s and Tia’s gigs are now on sale via Dice while Majestic’s are available via Ticketek UK and Resident Advisor.
