About this Event
Women United is holding Youth MHFA trainings at United Way of the Midlands. Participation is free of charge. Please register to join us and share this opportunity with your friends, family, and colleagues.
Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour course that teaches you how to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. Participants will learn how to identify, understand, and respond to signs and symptoms of mental distress in youth. This course is perfect for teachers, counselors, coaches, and other professionals who work specifically with youth, 18 years and younger. Participants who completed the course are certified in Mental Health First Aid for 3 years.
If you have a large group or team that would be interested in scheduling their own training, please contact Maureen Irish at [email protected]. We are happy to bring the training on-site to a location that is convenient for your team!
United Way of the Midlands is located on the fourth floor of Millwork Commons in the Ashton Building. Parking is free, and parking instructions will be shared one week prior to the event.
