  • This programme is open to all third sector staff and volunteers supporting young people.

Are you committed to making a positive impact on the mental well-being of young people? Our Youth Mental Health First Aid Training is specifically designed to equip youth practitioners like you with the knowledge and skills to support young individuals during critical moments.



What Will You Gain?

In-Depth Understanding:

  • Learn about the mental health challenges young people face and the key factors that impact their well-being.

Practical Skills:

  • Develop the ability to identify triggers and recognize early signs of mental health issues, allowing you to intervene before crises escalate.

Confidence in Crisis:

  • Build the confidence to offer reassurance and support to young people in distress, knowing how to respond effectively and empathetically.

Enhanced Communication:

  • Improve your interpersonal skills with techniques like non-judgmental listening, helping you connect more deeply with those you support.

Long-Term Support:

Self-Care Tools:

  • Acquire strategies to maintain your own mental well-being, ensuring you can continue to support others effectively.




Everyone who completes the course gets:


  • A certificate of attendance to say you are a Youth MHFAider®
  • A YouthMHFAider® manual to refer to whenever you need it
  • A workbook including some helpful tools to support your own mental health
