Would You Know What to Do in a Mental Health Crisis?Most of us know how to respond in a medical emergency. But what if someone is having a panic attack or showing signs of substance use?
Just like CPR prepares you to help in a physical health crisis, Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches you how to support someone facing a mental health or substance use challenge. This evidence-based, early-intervention course empowers youth with the skills to recognize, respond and connect individuals to appropriate care.
Who Should Attend
This free course is open to students in grades 6–12. It is not intended for adults.

• Signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges
• How to interact with someone in crisis
• How to connect a person with help
• Expanded content on trauma, substance use and self-care
