About this Event
Youth Mental Health First Aid Training. Trainer(s) from Trillium will be coming to hold training at RC3. This class is free and open to anyone. The class will be in person from 8:30am-5pm (will likely get out earlier), with a 1-hour lunch break. Attendees will be required to make an account and take a short pre-test prior to the in-person training.
After completion, you will receive a certification from the National Council For Mental Wellbeing in Youth Mental Health First Aid USA.
**Per MHFA regulations we are required to have at least 6 participants in each class. Because we have to follow that standard, we are now enforcing that all registrants are required to inform us if they cannot attend at least 5 business days prior to training. Failure to follow this will result in the cancelation of future registrations for an MHFA training. **
YMHFA teaches you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among youth (6-18). The class will cover many topics including: trauma, the impact of social media, signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges in adolescents, how to interact with an adolescent in crisis, how to get an adolescent help, and more! This certification course is free and open to anyone!
