About this Event
YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID.
Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) teaches adults who work with youth how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among children and adolescents aged 12-18.
The course:
- Introduces common mental health challenges for youth
- Reviews typical adolescent development
- Teaches a 5-step action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis
HYBRID FORMAT.
This training is taught in a hybrid formant. Completion of online pre-work is required before attending the in-person session. After you register for the class through eventbrite, you will be contacted with further instruction.
