Youth Mental Health First Aid8:30-3:30
McIntosh Board of Education
Educators and youth-serving adults play a critical role in the lives of children far beyond the classroom.
They are often a trusted outlet, a steady presence, and a source of support when young people need it most — especially for children and adolescents facing mental health challenges.
That’s why Youth Mental Health First Aid is so important!
This FREE regional training equips adults with the skills to recognize signs of mental health challenges, offer initial support, and connect youth to appropriate help.
👉 Who should attend?
Teachers, administrators, coaches, library personnel, after-school program staff, tutors, church and faith-based youth leaders, mentors, and anyone who works with or supports youth.
🍴 Lunch will be provided.
This training is open to all FDRESA districts, but attendance is limited to 30 participants — so McIntosh County, sign up early!
This opportunity is made possible through the Resilient Communities of Marshland Georgia grant, obtained by McIntosh County Family Connection, and offered as part of a regional effort to strengthen youth mental-health supports across our communities.
Together, we can better support the young people who count on us every day.
