This course is a community class open at no cost to the public, courtesy of grant funding provided by the Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health (DSAMH).Participants must attend the entire session as well as complete both the pre- and post-work through the MHFA portal to receive the certification.
NOTE: REGISTRATION CLOSES ONE WEEK PRIOR TO EVENT to give time to give attendees access and time to complete PRE-WORK.
What is Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA)?
Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers, neighbors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens how to help youth and adolescents (age 12-18) who are experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis.
