About this Event
Are you aged 16-30 and feel connected (or would like to feel connected) to Scotland's coasts and seas? Would you like to help inspire or nurture that connection in others?
The Scottish Ocean Literacy Coalition, chaired by the Scottish Wildlife Trust, is in the process of developing a national Ocean Literacy Strategy for Scotland and we want to hear from you what should be included.
At this in person event in The Studio, Glasgow you will have the exciting opportunity to shape how ocean literacy actions can be delivered on a national scale. You will learn more about what ocean literacy is, other strategies from around the world and will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of a Scottish strategy. We will also have some talks on other ways you can take action and get involved in marine conservation as well as the opportunity for some creativity with zine making!
We don’t want travel costs to stop you from joining us! We have a Travel Support Fund to help cover your travel (and accommodation costs if you’re coming from afar). We’ve budgeted for this, so please use it! If you’d like to find out more, please tick the box when you register.
