About this Event
Join us for a weekly gardening program designed for youth ages 12–21 yrs with disabilities, in partnership with The PATCH. This inclusive program offers a welcoming and adaptive environment where participants can explore gardening, connect with others, and enjoy hands-on activities that build skills and confidence.
This program will be taking place at Nathan’s Urban Farm at the Western Fair - 900 King Street London, ON. This is an accessible, indoor facility with free parking. Learn more at: www.patchlondon.ca/news/nathans-urban-farm-growing-food-and-opportunities
Through this program, participants will:
- Meet and interact with other TVCC youth
- Take part in the physical activity of gardening in an adaptive and supportive environment
- Learn gardening skills, explore horticulture
- Develop an awareness about the environment, sustainable food systems, and healthy habits
Participant Criteria:
- TVCC clients aged 12+
- Interest and willingness to participate in gardening activities
- Able to participate safely in a group setting with or without accommodations
About The PATCH:
The PATCH is a collaborative project by Hutton House, Nathan T. Deslippe Memorial Fund, and Kensington Village Association. It brings urban agriculture skills training, horticultural therapy, and community hospitality to the London community.
