*FOR AGES 9-15*
In this beginner friendly kids class, instructor Amber Buhidar will introduce students to the fundamentals of crochet! Students will learn how to hold a crochet hook, maintain proper tension, create a slip knot, and master the basic chain stitch. You'll even learn a few of Ambers "crochet secrets" along the way!
This class is perfect for those who are brand new to crochet or have limited experience. Amber will guide each student in creating a simple project such as a crochet bookmark, or a chain-style bracelet or necklace! Through practice with Amber, students will build confidence and leave with a handmade item they're proud of.
For students with previous experience, Ambers adaptive teaching style allows her to provide more advanced instruction, such as how to single crochet or other techniques more suited to advanced skill levels.
Supplies:
All supplies will be provided, including yarn and hooks, but students are welcome to bring their own materials if they'd like to continue practicing at home. Amber reccomends a standard 4-weight yarn (like Red Heart) and a crochet hook in size H (5mm), I (5.5mm) or J (6mm).

ARTIST BIO:
Amber is a self-taught fiber artist. She has been crocheting for the past 8 years. She started with blankets and progressed to beanies and ear warmers, and now her happy place is her signature plushies. She sells online and also at local markets. Amber is a home-school mama of four, and, if she is not crocheting, she enjoys the beach with her husband and children.
