Please note that all children must be acompanied by an adult. Children are not allowed to be dropped off.
*FOR AGES 9-15*Amber will teach how to hold a crochet hook, tension, how to make a slip knot, chaining, and many of my "crochet secrets" along the way. This class is very beginner, so if your child has never crocheted before or has little knowledge of crochet, this class is for them! She will work towards crocheting a bookmark, or chain bracelet/necklace if they prefer. She will be teaching tension and how to chain and using that repetition of the chain to create something they can keep and be proud of. If any kids have some crochet experience, she will teach a step further by adding single crochet, or whatever is needed to do to match their level of crochet. Amber will have yarn and hooks for anyone to use during the class. If your child wants to bring their own yarn and hook that will be fine. She encourages you to get them their own yarn and hook so they can continue to crochet at home. They can keep whatever bookmarks or bracelets they make in class. A regular 4-weight yarn is perfect - Red Heart yarn is perfect. Crochet hook size 5-H, 5.5 I or 6-J will work.

ARTIST BIO:
Amber is a self-taught fiber artist. She has been crocheting for the past 8 years. She started with blankets and progressed to beanies and ear warmers, and now her happy place is her signature plushies. She sells online and also at local markets. Amber is a home-school mama of four, and, if she is not crocheting, she enjoys the beach with her husband and children.
