This January, your young artist will dive into the vibrant and versatile world of watercolors through a child-led and process-focused approach. Instead of following templates or rigid instructions, children will be encouraged to make their own creative choices, exploring colors, shapes, and techniques that reflect their unique vision.Our focus is on the joy of creating, with opportunities to experiment, discover, and learn through play. Children will mix and layer colors, explore brush techniques, and see how water and pigment interact, all while building confidence, motor skills, and creative independence.
This month’s watercolor explorations will also serve as the foundation for our Youth Art Show in April, an immersive Under the Sea exhibit where students’ artwork will be celebrated. To preserve the magic, we’ll hold onto their creations until May.
Parent Social Hour
While your child is immersed in their art, feel free to relax in our lounge! Younger siblings are welcome, and we’ll provide simple toys to keep them entertained.
