Session 2
Oct 6-20: Bubble-Decorated Pottery Set
Get ready for a colorful, bubbly adventure in clay! In this fun and playful project, kids will create their very own matching cup and small plate set using the bubble glazing technique. We’ll mix paint, glaze, and soap to blow magical, frothy bubbles that leave behind whimsical patterns on their pottery. Each set will be completely unique—just like the maker! These cheerful pieces are perfect for sipping cocoa and serving cookies, or for giving as a heartfelt, handmade gift.
Session 3
Oct 27- Nov 10 – Giving Plates: A Thanksgiving Tradition
In this three-week project, kids will create their very own Giving Plate — a handmade serving dish meant to be filled with treats and passed along to friends, family, or neighbors. The tradition is simple but heartfelt: the plate travels from home to home, always bringing something delicious, and it’s never kept, only given on. Over time, it gathers stories, memories, and the joy of sharing.
Students will learn techniques to form their plate, add their own decorations and glaze designs, and take home a functional piece just in time for the holidays. Whether it holds turkey leftovers, homemade cookies, or pumpkin bread, their Giving Plate will help spread kindness long after class is over.
What to expect:
