About this Event

If you know the justice system is harming our kids in Texas then your voice is needed!

It is clear Texas’ juvenile justice system is not safe for our kids. We lean so heavily on that system to try to create public safety. But the solutions our lawmakers approve never seem to be enough to create the change we so desperately need. One of the major obstacles is that the people with firsthand experience of the system aren't part of the conversation. Lawmakers need to hear the stories and perspectives that live in our schools, community organizations, and dinner tables to understand the enormous harm our kids are experiencing. Our stories create urgency. Without lawmakers feeling that urgency, it is hard to imagine we will see the change Texan families deserve.

We are inviting everyone who has a perspective or personal experience seeing how our criminal justice system hurts our youth to help create that urgency. Whether you are a young person, parent, caregiver, social worker, educator, community member, or anyone who has seen the problem, our lawmakers need to hear from you!
