We’re excited to announce the mental health intimate concert, poetry reading + talk show by Adjei Sun, featuring Lemzi, Lottie Blogg + more artists, speakers + mental health professionals. We would like to invite you to this experience at BOM Lab on 8th October.

'You're Not Alone'.

Seasonal affective disorder (SAD), affects around 2 million people in the UK, according to NHS Inform. Currently, there are multiple crises, such as the Climate Crisis, The Cost of Living Crisis and The Housing Crisis, as well as what may be happening in our personal lives. The You're Not Alone project this Autumn will use arts to make conversations around mental health accessible for communities in inner city Birmingham, as we enter the darker months. 

Adjei Sun will be inviting members of our communities to explore lived experiences + how we create communities of care for each other, through art, performance and conversations.

Adjei Sun is a writer, artist, community organizer, facilitator, yoga teacher and public speaker. His work focuses on the intersections of mental health, environmental and social justice. Adjei has performed nationally as well as internationally. He was recognised as 1 of 8 artists and community organizers around the Commonwealth for As We Speak 22. Adjei was nominated by the public and then selected by BBC 1Xtra as a 1Xtra Future Figure, for work in his communities.
