The Evergreen Community Development Corporation has officially launched in Knoxville, Tennessee, with a mission to empower entrepreneurs and drive economic growth in low-income neighborhoods. As a non-profit organization, Evergreen is committed to breaking down barriers and fostering lasting change for aspiring business owners in underserved communities.

Rooted in the belief that thriving businesses lead to thriving communities, Evergreen provides a holistic approach to supporting entrepreneurs. The Story of Evergreen:

Damon Rawls’s vision for Evergreen Corporation was inspired by his work as a community advocate and creator of the Knoxville Black Business Directory. Recognizing the systemic challenges faced by entrepreneurs—particularly Black business owners—Damon envisioned a resource that went beyond visibility to provide tangible support. Evergreen was born from this vision as a beacon of opportunity for small business owners.

Building on the foundation of the Knoxville Black Business Directory, Evergreen Corporation extends its mission to serve all small businesses in need of guidance and resources. The organization is dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs to build businesses that thrive in all seasons, just like the evergreen tree.
