About this Event
This workshop is designed to be a true point of entry into exercise for people living with chronic pain.
If you’ve ever felt unsure, unsafe, or overwhelmed by the idea of moving your body again, this workshop is for you.
Pain changes how people see movement. It creates fear, hesitation, and uncertainty.
Many people in pain don’t feel confident being physically active, don’t trust their body’s signals, and haven’t been given the tools for what to do when something hurts or a flare-up shows up.
Instead, they’re often left to figure things out on their own, or their support stops once they leave the doctor’s office or physical therapy clinic.
This workshop fills that gap.
You’ll learn how to identify your true starting point, and why starting small is not a failure; it’s the foundation.
We’ll walk through all the factors that influence pain, especially when introducing a new routine, and help you visualize what the progression actually looks like, from doing very little to slowly and safely building capacity over time.
We’ll explain how the body works, how pain is produced, and why pain does not always mean injury.
Most importantly, you’ll learn practical skills for navigating flare-ups: how to modify, how to adjust, and how to keep moving forward instead of stopping altogether.
This workshop is not about pushing through pain. It’s about understanding it.
You’ll leave feeling seen, understood, and less alone, with a clear picture of what the process can look like, and the confidence that there is a safe, realistic path forward.
