We invite you to our Speaker Series event on Tuesday, May 13, at 7 p.m., featuring our curator, Dr. Stephanie Radu, who will present "Your Heirlooms and the Next Generation."With two generations downsizing at once, heirlooms are on the move. They’re being packed up, transferred to new homes, put up for auction, sold on eBay, donated to a museum or sent to the landfill. Caretakers of prized family possessions know how difficult and daunting it is to plan for the future of such artifacts. This presentation will highlight the importance of setting a plan in
place -- of documenting the stories behind historic objects, preserving family pieces in safe storage environments and sparking inter-generational conversations about the value placed on our heirlooms.
After the presentation, enjoy a Q&A session, share your insights, and savour light refreshments provided by the Beachville District Historical Society.
This event is free to attend, with donations appreciated to support our programming efforts. No registration is required, but seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
