Join Sun and Bloom Farms for a lecture series focused on empowering you and your family to make more informed decisions when it comes to food and diet. Farmer Anna Maria will lay the foundation for the series with an initial discussion on modern agriculture, the differences between conventional and regenerative farming, large and small scale family operations, and the importance of soil health, animal rotation, and pollination.
The conversation continues with how to read food labels, identifying toxic ingredients, understanding what the differences are between organic v. gmo v. non-organic, and the many descriptive labels for animal products like “cage-free” “pasture raised” “grass fed” etc.
The series concludes with viewing “food as medicine”, how to lay the foundation for a holistic lifestyle through food that is sourced with intention, in season, and with high nutritional value. Tips will be given on how to navigate sourcing, planning meals, and aligning you and your family with the natural rhythms of nature.
This is a two part series, February 4th and February 11th
