About this Event

Your Experience: Birth and Pain Relief

Join us at the Inch House Community Centre for an chat about birth and pain relief. Everyone is welcome, whether you had a baby or you supported someone who did.

We are a research team from the University of Edinburgh and are planning some research to improve epidurals in labour and pain relief after all types of birth (whether you had an epidural or not). We want to hear about your experiences to help us plan this work and improve the childbirth experience for the future.

This will be a relaxed, open chat. You don't need to know anything about research. It doesnt matter how your baby was born (c-section, vaginal birth, forceps), when you gave birth or if you baby was early, on time or late. We also want to hear from people who supported someone through having a baby (like partners or parents).

The event is free, and you don’t have to speak in front of a big group if you don’t want to. Just come along, meet others, and help us improve childbirth experiences.

A £20 Love2Shop voucher will be given for attending. A light lunch will be provided. There will be some snacks for young children.
