Following Architecture Sarasota's reception for the Harvard Graduate School of Design, join the YoungModerns at the Umbrella House for a casual dinner, drinks and an opportunity to connect with students from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
For spring 2025, Architecture Sarasota is collaborating with Harvard University Graduate School of Design on a design seminar to document and assess Downtown Sarasota's Bayfront. A primary goal and deliverable is a "toolkit" for enhancing and reimagining the existing public spaces and their connection to downtown through the lenses of sustainability and resilience. The course consists of eleven students from different disciplines (landscape architecture, urban design, architecture, ecology, etc.) led by Professor of Practice Chris Reed who is also Founding Director of STOSS Landscape Urbanism.
YoungModerns are:
- 45 years of age or younger
- Interested in design, architectural and cultural heritage, and design strategies that
help address current and emerging needs both locally and globally. - Hold a Young Moderns tier membership to Architecture Sarasota.
