Join us for a free workshop where we'll show you how to prune and care for your young shade trees.
About this Event

Join the City of Folsom and the Sacramento Tree Foundation to learn how to prune young shade trees for strong structure and beauty. A few simple cuts made now will save a ton of time and money when the trees are mature.

Instructor Kayden Rosenbaur is an ISA Certified Arborist with experience teaching people how to care for trees in Sacramento as the Community Arborist at the Sacramento Tree Foundation. Kayden's passion for young tree care and connecting people with their urban canopy spurs his work stewarding our urban forests.

Register now! The week before this event, we will send a logistics and directions email with detailed information about how to get to the site. You will receive this email ONLY if you are signed-up for this planting.

About this project

At the Sacramento Tree Foundation, we steward our urban forest from seed to slab. With your help, we plant over 12,000 trees every year, but the work doesn't stop there. Trees need regular care to thrive, especially for their first three years after planting. We provide free resources, workshops, and educational volunteer opportunities to teach people how to plant, water, prune, and care for their trees and ensure our urban forest thrives for generations to come.

This event is sponsored by the City Folsom.
